Do you own essential oils? If you, you should make some roll ons! Why? Because they are great if you have kids (for avoiding fingers and eyes), and they make diluting very easy. They are also wonderful for targeting specific small areas on the body. I got my roll on bottles for less than 50 cents a piece, so this is a super cheap project!
Lately I have been trying to do at least one thing each day that contributes to emergency preparedness. A lot of crazy stuff has happened this year and I realize that rough times could happen anywhere. Last week it was making sure we are prepared in case of a power outage, but some days it is just a small thing like collecting lint from the dryer (for fire starters), or buying a few extra cans of food. If you are new to emergency preparedness, check out all my tips for emergency preparedness.
DIY Essential Oil Roll Ons
What you need for making your own essential oil roll ons:
- Essential Oils
- Roll On Bottles
- Fractionated Coconut Oil (if you are diluting some of them for children)
- Bottle Cap Stickers
- A case to keep your oils in
* Some say you need to use the dark roll on bottles to keep the sun from effecting your oil over time, but I keep mine in a dark case anyway, so it didn’t matter to me.
Essential Oil Mini First Aid Kit
Here is something else I like to have on hand that was made for me by a friend. Again, another great idea for your essential oils, and super easy to make. Having a mini first aid kit with your most used oils is not only good for emergency kits, but also for your car or purse. I can’t tell you how many times we have been on vacation and I wished I had one of my oils with me! It’s a good idea to include some fractionated coconut oil as well.

Mini Tin Box (Altoids box also works)
