For this week’s recipe, I tried a new chicken sauce for Hawaiian Haystacks. I got my recipe from Mel’s Kitchen Cafe, and we loved it! We love Hawaiian Haystacks because they feel so light and fresh! I try to avoid cream of chicken soup when I can and was thrilled to see she doesn’t use any in her recipe. The only revision I made to the recipe was to use mushrooms in the sauce as well, but that’s only because I had mushrooms in my fridge that I needed to use. My husband didn’t even know I had used a new recipe, but he noticed a difference on his first bite! I’m going to try and pretend that doesn’t reflect on my cooking 🙂
