Recipe Party Week 1

If this is the first time you’ve come upon our recipe party, learn more here.

For this week’s recipe, I tried a new chicken sauce for Hawaiian Haystacks.  I got my recipe from Mel’s Kitchen Cafe, and we loved it!  We love Hawaiian Haystacks because they feel so light and fresh!  I try to avoid cream of chicken soup when I can and was thrilled to see she doesn’t use any in her recipe.  The only revision I made to the recipe was to use mushrooms in the sauce as well, but that’s only because I had mushrooms in my fridge that I needed to use.  My husband didn’t even know I had used a new recipe, but he noticed a difference on his first bite!  I’m going to try and pretend that doesn’t reflect on my cooking :)

What recipe did you try this week?  If you didn’t get the time to try something new, what’s a recipe you love that you have found online?  Please share a link!

We share a new recipe on Thursday, but please don’t feel like you have to share on that day if it doesn’t work for you.  These recipe parties are for helping each other collect yummy recipes and have an easier time coming up with what’s for dinner every night!  The more that join in and share, the funner these will be!

If you’d like to be added to our Group Pinterest Board so that you can pin recipes too, please read our rules and let me know your Pinterest username so that I know to add you.
