100 Days of Summer Fun

100 Days of Summer Fun, imagination, and play!

100 Days of Summer Fun

You guys…I'm super excited to share some of my favorite resources for creating good old-fashioned, summer fun with the kids! You know, the kind that doesn't involve electronics (although we all have those days!), and encourages our kids to use their imaginations and PLAY!

100 Days of Summer Fun, imagination, and play!

I got my idea for this post from this adorable video by Radio Flyer:

How adorable is that?! To celebrate being around for 100 years, Radio Flyer is encouraging everyone to to celebrate the spirit of adventure and imagination by partaking in the 100 Days of Summer challenge and get out and play! I couldn't help but participate, and I hope you love all our fun ideas below! I'm also hosting a giveaway for $100 gift card to Radio Flyer, for purchasing a little red wagon of your own, or maybe this build-a-trike that my son is currently obsessed over:

Summer fun and imagination

I have always loved Radio Flyer's little red wagon that has been around forever, and the values that Radio Flyer represents in encouraging kids to use their products as a way to be outside, using imagination, and having FUN!

100 Days of Summer Fun

Our first tip for having a summer full of fun and imagination, is to create a unique summer schedule/theme. Here's ours (click the image to learn more about our Summer Fun Schedule):

Our 2nd Tip for 100 Days of Summer Fun and imagination is to keep up on summer reading! Reading is one of the best ways to allow a child to explore and imagine. For summer, you could set up a shady spot outside, provide some fun snacks, and make a really fun reading environment for your child! Here are some extra resources we have provided for creating your own summer reading program:

Our 3rd Tip for 100 Days of Summer fun, is to create lots of opportunity for sensory play and development! I love setting the scene, and then allowing my children's imagination to go wild as they get their hands messy! Here are some favorite ideas:

Our Summer Play Dough Mats provide a creative way for kids to shape, construct and imagine!

60 Days of Cheap summer fun includes some of our favorite outdoor activities including: painting boxes, wall murals, and water beads! Plus one of our favorite summer snacks….
