Celebrate the Freedom and Independence of Our Beautiful Country with a 4th of July Breakfast Bash! Involve your kids in the planning and creating a party they will love. Food, crafts and decor that will make this party a hit for kids of all ages.
What will you eat at your party? What will you do? Nothing says freedom like RED, WHITE and BLUE! We decided to keep that our theme. My son wakes up every morning and asks for pancakes so he happily suggested them for the party. My other kids love yogurt with granola for breakfast. Throw strawberries and blueberries in the mix and you have Fresh Fruit Pancakes and a Festive Yogurt Parfait. I bought the ingredients along with paper products and a few items for decorating and we were ready to put our party together.

We gathered up the random red, white and blue items we found throughout the house including suitcases and paper for making little food flags. The girls picked out their favorites of my fancy serving dishes. My kids love balloons and I usually go to a party store to have them filled. I awkwardly shove them in the car hoping to not hear an explosion. I then drive as I have static balls bobbing my head and enjoy having absolutely no view out of my back window. Nothing better than that, right !?! YES THERE IS! I bought a Balloon Time tank and brought it to my house and filled up the balloons I wanted without the hassle of driving them home. This is a luxury I will be taking advantage of again! I filled up 20 good size balloons, put them on the table and then we decided we needed a few more. So we filled up 5 more. That is definitely not something I would have been willing to do if I had to drive across town for them. But we just filled them up right there! I actually let the my girls fill up the last five. Yep, my kids did it. So easy to use and simple enough for a child to use. They thought it was the coolest thing. Click here for tips on using the Balloon Time Tank. My boys helped washed blueberries and pour the granola. Then we washed and cut the strawberries and poured the yogurt into a dish.
Nothing satisfies the taste buds with fresh fruit and pancakes. My girls are the new pancake flippers of the house. I made the mix and they pour and flip until the pancake batter in gone. They love learning new skills and feeling like a chef.
LET THE PARTY BEGIN!
The food was a hit! I think all of us ate at least 3 different times during the morning. Keep going back for more goodness and I don’t fill to bad about it when my kids are piling on fruit as thought it was going extinct.
FUN and GAMES
We made streamers out of ribbon, tape and a paper straw. Cut your ribbon to desired length. Stretch a 10 inch piece of tape sticky side up on the table. Press one end of each piece of ribbon to the sticky part of the tape rotating colors and sizes. Then roll the straw down the tape, curling it around the straw. Then wrap more tape around to secure the ribbon. Then go crazy! The kids put on some good dancing music and spent a good 30 minutes dancing their little hearts out.
We had just enough helium left in the Balloon Time tank for some FIREWORKS! We filled up clear balloon filled with confetti. They popped them all at once to end our party with a BANG! It was a perfect family celebration!
Happy 4th of July! I hope you have as much fun with your loved ones this holiday as we did! We are so grateful to live in this beautiful free country and we are forever thankful for the Men and Women who give so much to help us keep it! God Bless America! Land of the Free and Home of the Brave!
