Baby Shower Gift Ideas Using Flower Headbands

One thing that I always recommend buying for moms of girls, is flower headbands! They are SO SO SO appreciated! When I was a new mom, I didn’t know the ins and outs of dressing up my baby girl. We seem to only be able to produce bald babies, so not using a headband always resulted in my child being called the wrong gender. So now we own a LOT of headbands and bows. What I didn’t know at the time was that the pretty headbands I was buying at various stores and boutiques for $5-8 a piece, can actually be found on Amazon for a $1 or less. In fact, to get a variety, I usually buy some packs that are less than $1 each, and some that are little bit more, so that I average a $1 overall and have a good variety. The best thing about buying them in bulk like this is that they make wonderful baby shower gifts. Here are a few ways to dress up your baby shower gift with some baby headbands:

Flower HeadbandsFirst off, make a bouquet of flowers using the bows! You can do this a variety of ways. You can wrap them around a round floral foam, or you can do as I did and just wrap a bunch of tissue paper up into a ball, wrap your flower headbands around it, and then plop it on top of a vase or cute bucket.

The headbands I used for this can be found here. They ended up being about 75 CENTS EACH!

Baby Shower Gift Bags Using Flower Headbands

I got the flowers for the bags here for about a dollar each.

For the Flower Headband Gift bags, You will need:

  • Green Ribbon
  • Mini Clothespins
  • adhesive (I used hot glue)
  • Flower headband
  • Gift Bag

Creative Gifts Using Little Girl HeadbandsWant something more simple? Just attach a flower headband to your gift as the bow! Or add a few of them and draw stems right onto the wrapping paper!

(although, unless you go in on the materials with friends, I have found it is still cheaper to buy them).

I'm six-foot tall mother of three and I'm enjoying the view! I'm currently fighting a battle with Lyme disease and am determined to come out victorious. I enjoy warm summer rain, peanut butter everything, having dance parties with my husband and kids, natural remedies and healthy living. Most days I'm just looking for another excuse to avoid the piles of laundry.
