After you have 3 kids you think you know about all the best baby products by that point, but I learned with baby #4 that there were still many more amazing baby products out there that I still hadn’t discovered. and several of them I now consider the very best baby products of all time. Here are a few of the best baby products that I didn’t discover until recently:
Best Baby Products For New Babies
if you are pregnant or know someone expecting and want to gift them something they will really love, here are some really great companies and products that I highly recommend:
Binxy Baby
How was this shopping cart hammock not invented moons ago? It’s pure genius and one of the best baby products to have handy in your car. I’ve always been leery of putting my car seat on the cart ever since a friend of mine had hers slide off and land upside down on the floor (with baby in it). Best part? It even fits Costco carts. Dock-A-Tot Infant Co-sleeper
As I am typing this, I’m currently sitting in a hotel bed with the Dock-a-Tot and my baby right next to me. My baby has been sleeping well since coming home from the hospital and I think the Dock-a-tot plays a good role in that.
At home with the kids? Instantly access any of these printable activity bundles to keep them learning!
I always like to co-sleep next to my babies and this makes me feel so much more comfortable about it. I like to have my babies close for the first few months. Also, I love that it fit in my suitcase for this trip! They also have a size for toddlers. Learn More here…
The Ollie World
Let me start out by saying I have tried almost every baby wrap out there. In fact, I didn’t even start using this until several days after coming home from the hospital because I figured it wasn’t much different from all the others. WRONG. This thing is amazing, and I now consider it one of the best baby products for infant sleep.
The moment we started using it, our baby started sleeping really well at night. He even slept through the night on one or two occasions before he was 1 month old. Not only does it help him sleep better, but it’s by far the easiest and the fastest swaddle we have ever used. And because of the moisture-wicking fabric, I haven’t had to worry about him overheating like some of the others we have used. And if that wasn’t already great enough, there’s easy access to the diaper from the bottom so that you don’t have to completely unwrap baby for a diaper change. Read more about it here…
Copper Pearl
I love the Copper Pearl brand for their soft blankets, cute infant hats, and car seat covers, but I love them most for their burp cloths. Their burp cloths are the thickest, softest, and most absorbent burp cloths I have ever encountered. I have a hard time using any of my others, which is sad because I bought a bunch of other really cute ones before our baby was born. None of them even compare. This is one of the best baby products for gifting at baby showers.
Breastfeeding Arm Pillow
If you’ve read my Baby Registry Must Haves, you know that I do not love the famous Boppy for breastfeeding. It feels to large and cumbersome and when I put it around my stomach area, it doesn’t hold baby high enough to feed so it feels pointless to me. I do however, love this pillow since it rests on your arm.
I use it on my arm during the first few days of getting the hand of breastfeeding and then I rest it under my arm as support after that. I actually sleep with it every night now because I hate nursing without it. Which reminds me, this really needs to be added to my list of What to Pack in Your Hospital Bag.
Silicone Breast Pump
This thing is one of the BEST baby products if you are breastfeeding. I love it even more than my double electric breast pump, and I have hated all hand-held pumps up until I met this one. I love that it naturally suctions to the breast and milk flows into it without you having to do anything.
It attaches to the opposite breast that I am feeding on to catch the let-down on the other side, and have been able to freeze so much milk this way. Milk that would normally leak into my bra and be wasted. It also helped me a ton in the beginning when I was engorged. It has by far been the most comfortable way to relieve milk ducts when I am feeling extra full.
I hope you enjoyed these recommendations of what I consider to be some of the very best baby products. What new baby products have you discovered lately?
