1. Kringle: The Proof of Santa App
I learned about this app through my cousins. They have four kids and absolutely raved about how believable this app is. The idea behind this app is simple: take a video of your living room and place Santa right in the middle of it. Users can choose from a variety of scenes, including Santa searching through his bag for presents, Santa enjoying milk and cookies, or Santa checking his naughty and nice list. Christmas morning, tell your kids you heard Santa, snuck downstairs and were able to get this video of him! They’ll be watching it on repeat all day!
You can find Kringle on the app store or visit their website here.
Did you know you can track Santa online? Starting at the beginning of December, Santa can be followed on Norad’s Santa Tracker and Google Santa Tracker. Join in the fun as your kids track Santa’s journey around the world leading up to Christmas Day.
3. Santa’s Magic Phone Call & Text
For a small cost, this app allows you to call and text Santa on demand! It also has other activities and games, keeping the magic of Christmas alive. Find it on the app store.
Are your kids having a difficult time believing in reindeer? Take a handful of chocolate covered raisins outside after your kids go to bed on Christmas Even and sprinkle them around on the ground/snow. In the morning, have your kids go look and see if the reindeer came. Point out the droppings and your kids will have to believe!
5. Cookies & Milk
A tradition at our house was to always leave a plate of cookies and a glass of milk for Santa Claus. But only leaving the food out isn’t enough — make sure when you come to set out presents that you drink some of the milk and leave a big bite in one of the cookies. Make it look like Santa really enjoyed his treat. Consider leaving a handwritten thank you note on the plate!
Leave footprints from your fireplace or front door to your Christmas tree by simply outlining your shoes in glitter or powdered sugar. Tell your kids it must be Santa’s magic dust left behind as he walked to the tree. They’ll never stop believing in Santa! You can get a really cute kit for Santa’s footprint with glitter and everything you need here.
We hope this helps bring some more magic of Santa into your home, and that you and yours really enjoy!
