I FINALLY got my husband's Christmas gift done. If you missed the last week, I have been creating gifts using Groupon certificates (you can also find some fun stuff on Living Social, and if you have never made a purchase with them, get a $10 credit here). Most people have used Groupon, but if you haven't used them either, check out the deals here.

Before I show you what I am giving my husband, here is a gift I was able to make happen for some close friends of ours. One of their children recently passed away and we know the holidays are going to be very difficult for them. As we pondered what to give them, we knew that what they really need is to get away as a family and just forget about life for a little bit. I was excited to see that Groupon had vouchers for the SLC Connect passes. Our family used them this last summer and really enjoyed them. The best part about this gift is the awesome people over at Visit Salt Lake! I bought what I could afford on Groupon, and they supplied the rest of the passes so that the each family member could have their own pass. I LOVE it when businesses give back to their community!
I decided to redeem to the Groupon for the passes ahead of time so that they don't have to worry about paying attention to the expiration date on the Groupon (and because it's fun to give the actual cards). I then cut some super simple “gift card holders” into the shape of Utah.

Date Nights For a Year
My husband and I had a little chat about what we wanted to do for Christmas this year, and we both agreed that we wanted to only give each other gifts that can be enjoyed together. This can include tickets, activities…basically anything we could use on a date night. I decided to do “the 12 Dates of 2015” and played off the 12 Days of Christmas Song. If you choose to do the same thing, you could give one item leading up to Christmas, or just give them all on Christmas day like I will be doing.
We both love Jamba Juice, and we love Bananagrams, so this is a fun one for us. In fact, because the Jamba Juice voucher was only $6, I got one for us to enjoy now….. and a second one for later 🙂
Here are a few of the other date night ideas:
The next 3 Date Nights are: Rock Climbing, Roller Blading, and tickets to a soccer game (he could LIVE on soccer) 🙂
What are you giving your husband this year?
