You guys! I am so excited about today’s printable. I have always been in love with all things bright and colorful, and when I saw that Sharpies were on sale at Staples, I knew what I wanted to do! When I create printables for gifts, I try to follow 2 rules:
1.They can be used in multiple ways
2. EASY to put together, like …I’m talking minutes.
At home with the kids? Instantly access any of these printable activity bundles to keep them learning!
If I see a cute back to school teacher gift idea on Pinterest that involves cutting intricate shapes and glueing pieces together or nightmarish trips to the craft store with kids in tow, My answer is Not Today, Not Ever.
Let’s keep things simple folks. ESPECIALLY during the back to school time period. For some it’s a season of great sorrow (kids?), for some its a season of celebration(Parents?), but its an adjustment nonetheless.
So, first things first…use this printable however the heck you want to! You can buy a package of Sharpies and tie a cutesy ribbon around them and call it good, or you could scrap the cutesy ribbon and still call it good, or you can get super cutesy and wrap the markers alongside the inside of a vase and add super cutesy flowers. All options are acceptable (and awesome) in my eyes, and none of them take longer than 5 minutes to put together (minus buying the Sharpies and flowers).
You know how we sometimes tell our kids how excited we are to see them be awesome, even in moments when we fear an upcoming meltdown? It’s all about positive reinforcement, right? If kids aren’t exactly thriving with awesomeness, we trick them into doing so by making them see what we want to see.
The same goes with our teachers. I have heard some grumbly parents nervous about some teachers, and well in that case, you need to give them your positive expectations from the beginning. “I’m Looking Forward to a BRIGHT and RE’MARKER’ABLE year” should do the trick (as well as hooks your teacher up with some awesome fine tipped markers which are sure to get your kid some brownie points).
Okay, all joking aside, I wish everyone the best and brightest school year ever!
Love, me.
Oh and P.S.all Sharpie Fine and Ultra Fine assortment packs and Sharpie Neon Marker packs are currently on sale at Staples through August 24th “while supplies last.”  Might as well get a pack for yourself too. I don’t know about you, but I’m much better at planning my life into a neat little life planner if my hand writing is colorful and cute (But I’m a dork like that). 🙂
