Fruit-Infused Water: Increase Your Water Intake!

I don’t know why, but I have had the hardest time figuring out a way to make sure I drink enough water. It’s just not something I think about throughout the day…until I’m really thirsty!

summertime is a little easier for me because I LOVE to drink fruit-infused water! Lemon water especially is such a good to drink first thing in the morning and is a great detox for  your body!

Fruit infused water is great for motivating water intake, as well as limiting calories and soda drinking. I like the combinations listed here

If you are a big time soda drinker, and are having a hard time kicking the habit, start with some fruit-infused water. Sometimes drinking plain water isn’t very motivating (especially if you are used to drinking soda), but drinking fruit-infused water will spruce up your water a bit, and make you healthier at the same time! I keep mine in the fridge so that it is cold, but if you are going to be out and about, just add ice and take it along with you! I find myself constantly sipping on my water when there’s some fun variations to it. Get the kids involved and practice a bunch of unique flavors and combinations to figure out which are your favorite!

fruit-infused water recipes. Such a great way to increase water intake and avoid high calorie drinks!

I’m kind of a water bottle freak. I have found that I also drink more water if I have a fun water bottle to drink out of. I use the AdNArt fruit infuser bottle (I have the plastic and the glass and use them for different situations), however, I got them over a year ago and there are now several fruit infuser bottles available now! Don’t think you must have a special water bottle to start drinking fruit-infused water though! You can definitely use a plain ol glass!

fruit-infused water recipes. So healthy and good for you!

Here are some good combinations for fruit water:

  • Citrus + Berries. This is my go-to combination. I love to always include lemons, and I usually always have frozen berries in the freezer.
  • Bluberries and Orange
  • Watermelon and Mint. Don’t think you can only use fruit! You can also create some good combinations using various herbs (rosemary, cilantro, mint) and vegetables too (cucumber, etc).
  • Raspberries and lime. Yep, I love this one.

Make sure you close your eyes and imagine you are at the spa!!! 🙂

What are some of your favorite fruit-infused water variations?
