There’s been many times that I’ve been a punk and not left enough diapers, or a grandchild spikes a fever and there’s no children’s Tylenol in site. I figured having a little emergency kit might be helpful for anything that might occasionally be missing from the diaper bag.
If your parents or mother-in-law have lots of grandchildren, you might consider adding a couple diapers in each size. A few other items you might add are:

wipes, thermometer, diaper rash cream, Tylenol, binky, bottle, sippy cup, baby toy or teether, blanket, etc.
You might even consider getting something like Amazon’s New Baby Welcome Box, as it will have a lot of the items you want to include. See my Post on Amazon Baby Registry to learn how to get it for free.
Band-Aids are one of those things that my kids always seem to need when they are at grandma’s house, so I made sure there was a box of those!
