Brookies Recipe
Brownie Batter:
- 10 tablespoons butter, softened
- 2/3 cup lightly packed brown sugar
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 large egg + 1 large egg yolk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups plus 3 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened natural cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough:
- 10 tablespoons butter, softened
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2/3 cup light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 large egg + 1 large egg yolk
- 2 cups plus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
Directions:
Reheat oven to 350. First combine brownie ingredients. Cream butter and sugars together in large bowl. Add egg, yolk, and vanilla and combine until smooth. Add flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt. Mix until combined. Set aside. For cookie dough, cream butter and sugars in separate bowl. Add egg, yolk, and vanilla and combine until smooth. Add flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix until combined. Add chocolate chips and stir.
Take 1 teaspoon each of batter and dough and form into separate balls. Lightly press together and form into one ball. Place on greased cookie sheets and bake for 8-10 minutes. Do not overbake!
