You guys. I have the world’s best tip for you today, and I have my little sister to thank for it! I LOVE Costco, but there are some downsides to my relationship to Costco: I live over an hour away, I always spend too much, and I hate unloading it all.
Those downsides have never kept me from shopping there, however my sister told me about a website that has changed my life. It’s called Boxed, and they offer wholesale prices on TONS of the very same things that I buy at Costco. My first thought when she told me about it was, “Sorry, I don’t do subscription boxes, I hate them. I always forget to cancel.” The best thing about Boxed is they are NOT A MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION BOX!!! You simply go to there site, order what you want, it ships in one day and then shows up at your house! Most of their prices are pretty comparable to Costco, or even cheaper! I love that they have a lot of organic stuff, and 90% of the snacks that I normally get at Costco. Now I don’t have to leave my house and I spend less!
Plus, you get free shipping on your first order, PLUS $10 off (if you use code 049A0). On orders after that, it’s free shipping if you spend $75+ (when have you ever spent less than $75 at Costco?). And actually, I think some states even have a lower minimum.

Occasionally Living Social will run a Boxed deal as well, so it’s worth checking there as well (You get $10 through that link).
A few other things I love:
- you earn points for each order to use on future orders. Pretty similar to using the Costco credit card, only you don’t have to get a credit card! Just earn points and use them.
- Sometimes they will notify you about a free product they are giving out. Just add it to your cart and it comes with your next order. Pretty sweet, and it’s a fun way to sample new products.
- They take Paypal, which isn’t a big deal for some, but I love it.
Obviously they don’t offer EVERYTHING that Costco offers, but they do offer quite a bit of the things that I do get at Costco, which narrows down my list quite a bit. If you haven’t been able to get a Costco card because you don’t want to pay for the membership, this is an AWESOME alternative. I am so giddy about this company and I hope they expand and grow a ton!
