Last week I shared with you Capital One’s campaign titled “Wish For Others” and shared my wish for my cousin Laura.
I found it inspiring, both the wishes people for making for other people, as well as the fact that Capital One is granting some of those wishes!
If you missed last week’s post, here is a summary: you can Share your wish for someone else – a family member, a friend, a neighbor, or a community — with #WishForOthers on Twitter, Instagram, or the Capital One Facebook page from Nov. 24 through Dec. 23 for a chance to make it come true.

What really inspired me this week, was to see a community gathering together to try and help make my wish come true as well. I love it when families and communities get involved in huge projects like this because it spreads the spirit of Christmas far and wide and blesses everyone involved!
Here is my original wish:
And here is what I saw circulating around my cousin’s community today:
Thank you to this Arizona community for gathering together your resources to help make my “Wish For Laura” come true! Hopefully Capital One will catch on to the magic and finish what needs to be done for Laura!
Inspire Your Own Community
So much good can come from making wishes for others and raising awareness to a particular need. I would like to challenge everyone to take advantage of the opportunity to participate in Captial One’s campaign by making a wish for someone else, and then get your community involved in the project as well. You could host a holiday bake sale, a benefit concert, or collect cans of food for the food bank. Find a need and get as many people involved so tha the spirit of Christmas can spread all over the place!
And if you live in my cousin’s area, please feel free to get your family involved and participate in that wonderful project.
