People! I don’t know if you realized it, but we get to celebrate TWO awesome holidays within 5 days of each other. I LOVE this time of year. I’m giving away a $50 gift card to Dollar Tree just to show my excitement (enter below)! I’ve also partnered with the Dollar Tree and Blueprint Social to bring you a fun project today.
It’s so hard to go from so many holidays, and so much celebrating, back to school for a long several months before we experience another holiday. But we won’t focus on that right now. Right now we are going to focus on CELEBRATING! Who has some extra special traditions?
We have one. For as long as I can remember, my mom always bought sparkling cider for Christmas Eve & New Year’s Eve so that we could all have a special “toast” to bring in the New Year. One of my funniest memories was watching my mom drink straight from the bottle! I think I was in junior high at the time.
Since I live only 3 blocks from Dollar Tree, and also because I love all things thrifty, I have a fun little project for you today: Black Tie Toasting Flutes! And don’t worry, it only takes a few minutes, but will add some festivity to your celebrating.

I got the idea from Dollar Tree’s loyalty program, the Value Seekers Club. It’s a club with a bunch of craft, recipe and project ideas–ALL using Dollar Tree’s products (as well as contests and other perks). I get sucked in so easily since everything is “only a dollar.”
Black Tie Toasting Flutes
My experience in the store today was similar to my experience EVERY TIME I go into the Dollar Tree: I went in for 2 things (toasting flutes and ribbon), and came out with 3 bags full of stuff. I promise, I couldn’t help it. I saw some other items I couldn’t pass up, as well as some things to add to our celebration. Like these:
What’s a celebration without chocolate truffles? And I was planning on getting the sparkling cider at the grocery store until I was reminded by these cute little Martinelli’s that they exist is more adorable sizes at the Dollar Tree. This way, everyone can have their very own. And if drinking straight from the bottle occurs, I will not object.
Another idea for the black tie toasting flutes if you don’t want to do the little bow ties, is to get the little sticker mustaches (also at the Dollar Tree), and stick them on the glasses. Super cute!
Visit the Value Seekers Club for detailed instructions on making these Black Tie Toasting Flutes. Merry Christmas & HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!
