Thank you for following along with me for 12 Days of Filling your home with Christmas. If you started mid-way through, there are still 14 more days to do some of these ideas!
Today’s idea is not a fancy project, or even a printable.
Today I wanted to share our family’s tradition, which has been the best way we have found to fill our home with the true meaning of Christmas. It started in my own family growing up, and has continued in my own little family.

Each night, I pull out the batter-operated candles, and the girls get to hold them. We turn off the lights, and they get so excited. We then each read from the scriptures (a verse or two from the Christmas story) and then we sing a Christmas carol about the Savior. We then enjoy a Christmas story.
I love this, and I love that my girls get excited about it even though they are only 1 & 3 years old. They especially LOVE the candles and they LOVE singing.
Last year at Christmastime, we took around one of these candles to our neighbors with some treats. The git tag read, “May your home be filled with the Light of Christ this Christmas Season.”
I wish the same for all of you! I have saved the next two weeks for some meaningful bonding time with my own little family. Because of this, you won’t see much on the blog until after the Christmas break!
Happy Holidays and see you all in January!
