If any of you are considering buying a vacation voucher through Plum District by One Stop Travel (America Direct Inc./One Stop Travel), you may want to consider otherwise. I bought the Disney Voucher for 2 roundtrip airfare + 2 Disney tickets, and my experience has been nothing but a nightmare.
One Stop Travel Review: A Very Negative Experience
I have never gone out of my way to write a negative review for a company, but this one was so bad that I feel I probably should. Unfortunately, when I saw the deal on Plum District I recommended it to quite a few family and friends. I had read through their terms and conditions multiple times and could not see any issues. I was aware that they would be charging me inflated prices on a hotel, but my total cost for the trip still seemed to be a decent deal.
Little did I know what I was in for.
Before purchasing my voucher I emailed the One Stop Travel with my travel dates and asked what the chances were of being able to use it for that time. They replied letting me know that my dates were not during their busy season and that it should work out just fine.

I promptly submitted my voucher and waited to hear back. I received an “itinerary,” and a request for a $500 deposit, but some of the info was incorrect and the pricing seemed off. I also had some questions about the hotel. I emailed back my questions, which they avoided. I then tried calling and received no answer.
I then proceeded to use a different contact email from the voucher, which ended up being the liaison between Plum District and One Stop Travel. She agreed that there was no way I should be paying a $500 deposit before they answered my questions and made sure my itinerary was correct. She then assured me that she would personally call me back within 24 hours. I never heard back. I contacted her a week later to see why there had been no call back and once again received no response.
I finally called One Stop Travel AGAIN and after being put on hold forever I was told that my reservation had been canceled because I didn't pay my deposit. I said, “You require 45 days notice, and I still have well over 45 days before my travel, so can you resubmit my reservation?”
She said no and that I needed to do it all online. I said that was fine but asked what the availability was (I found a cheap flight somewhere else and wanted to hurry and book it if they weren't going to end up fulfilling my voucher). She told me she couldn't tell me if there was any availability, and that the only way to know was to submit an application online and wait up to 5 business days. I told her I really needed to know if they weren't going to be able to fulfill my request so that I could make my travel arrangements elsewhere and she told me “sorry ma'am I can't tell you if there is availability, you have to wait 5 days.”
So I risked it. I really didn't want to end up losing money on the voucher, so I RE-SUBMITTEd my travel dates online. I let the flight deal pass by and waited the five days. And NEVER heard anything. I finally contacted them asking why I hadn't received a response.
They told me they sent me an email 3 days ago (they didn't), and that there was no availability.
At this point I have a worthless voucher. I am unwilling to use it for future travel because there customer service is so poor that I would have no confidence that the trip would actually happen.
My advice would be to avoid this company at ALL COSTS. They have sold so many of these dumb vouchers that they have no interest in having good customer service. Once you buy the voucher they have your money and they purposely make it VERY difficult to redeem it.
I am so bummed that so many of my family and friends purchased this as well. I'm currently contacting Plum District in hopes that they will resolve this (I will update this review if they do).
Plum District seems to be too reputable to want to partner with such an awful company. Update: Plum District could care less about my experience and upon further research, they have been known for dealing with companies that don't follow through.
For anyone considering buying one of these vouchers, unfortunately it only got worse. The estimated price they sent me ended up being for ONE VOUCHER (or so they said) and the amount was over $1100 which means I was going to be charged over $300 a hotel room. I looked at the going rates for the hotel, and even for last minute bookings it was $102. Huge rip off.
My sister-in-law had an even worse experience with them and are currently disputing the charge on their credit card.
