Ooey Gooey, Warm and Fudgey, Chocolate Mug Cake

I know I’m not the only one who gets late night cravings for something ooey gooey, fudgey and deliciously chocolatey. But let’s face it, making an entire cake when you don’t have many (or any) people to share it with…well it’s probably not a good idea. This is where the perfect mug cake becomes your best, late-night friend. These mug cakes couldn’t be easier to whip up, they are delicious, ready in minutes, and it is the perfect portion for one!
This mug cake is perfect! It is quick and easy and deliciously decadent!
Here’s my recipe for the perfect ooey-gooey, warm and fudgey, chocolate mug cake!

3 Tbsp. White sugar
3 Tbsp. Milk
2 Tbsp. Vegetable Oil
2.5 Tbsp. White Flour
2 Tbsp. Hershey’s Special Dark Cocoa Powder (can sub regular but I love the rich dark chocolate flavor)
1 Tsp. Vanilla
Pinch of Salt
1/4 Cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

1) Mix together all ingredients in your mug.

2) Do not overcook!!! Microwave for 1 minute. Check on it and increase cook time by 10-15 seconds until desired done-ness. I microwave mine for 1 minute, then check on it and usually add 15 more seconds. Again, DO NOT OVERCOOK! It’s better to under-cook this rather than over-cook because you want to keep it ooey-gooey and fudgey.

3) Sprinkle with a few extra chocolate chips and top with your choice of powdered sugar, vanilla ice cream, or fresh whipped cream. Enjoy!
