I love February. It’s a month of focusing on those we love most. We’ve made it a tradition in our family to turn Valentine’s Day into a “Family Day of Love” rather than a holiday for couples. We spend the evening doing something fun as a family, going to dinner, and celebrating each other. It’s a great holiday to prepare for another favorite holiday of mine that comes just 3 days after: Random Acts of Kindness Day. Random Acts of Kindness Day falls on February 17th. It’s a great day to show love and appreciation for your family, your community and possibly even complete strangers. Here are some fun ways to celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Day, as well as some free printables to go along with all of your acts of kindness.

Let someone know how grateful you are for what they do: the mailman, a police officer, or maybe even your own mother!
Offer Kindness to Someone in Secret
Sometimes the best part about serving someone else, is doing it without expectation of any kind of response in return. Find something kind you can do for someone else and do it in secret!
Do something unexpected to bring a smile for someone else
Sometimes the best random acts of kindness are those that are truly that: random. Do something kind and totally unexpected to leave a smile in someone’s path.
Praise someone for being who they are.
Sometimes the greatest love comes from knowing that someone appreciates you for exactly who you are. True unconditional love.
Let someone know they are loved
Who doesn’t need a little extra love and encouragement every now and then? This particular gift tag would work for any type of gift imaginable. You could gift it to a child, a spouse, or even a resident at a local elderly care center.
Give Diapers to new parents, local diaper bank, or women’s shelter
We have a women’s shelter just down the road from where we live, so that’s what we plan to do with ours. Also, for those of you with a Sam’s Club membership, right now you can get an instant savings of $8 off the purchase of 2 Pampers diapers or wipes products at Sam’s Club.
