Disneyland is a favorite vacation spot of mine because it is so fun to have my kids experience all that Disneyland has to offer! I’ve gathered some of the best attractions for babies and toddlers in each area of the park to help you and your little ones have a magical time!
Fantasyland:
Fantasyland is a great place to take your small children while visiting the parks. My favorite part about this land is that most of the rides are suitable for any height. That means your babies and toddlers can ride along with you and you won’t have to do the rider switch. Rides anyone can ride include:
- Alice in Wonderland
- Casey Jr. Circus Train
- Dumbo the Flying Elephant
- “it’s a small world”
- King Arthur Carrousel
- Mad Tea Party
- Peter Pan’s Flight
- Pinocchio’s Daring Journey
- Snow White’s Scary Adventures
- Storybook Land Canal Boats
Adventureland:
Adventureland is one of the smaller lands at the Disneyland Resort but that doesn’t mean that it isn’t just as great! With family-friendly attractions and shows, your little ones are sure to have an adventure when visiting. The best attractions for your smaller kids and babies are:
- Enchanted Tiki Room
- Jungle Cruise
- Tarzan’s Treehouse
Critter Country:
Critter Country is a fun little spot for your family to visit. Located right next to New Orleans Square, you can experience character meet & greet opportunities along with darling rides. Not only will you have the chance to meet Winnie the Pooh and his gang, but you can bring all your little ones on rides like:
- Davy Crockett’s Explorer Canoes
- The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Frontierland:
Although your toddlers and babies won’t be tall enough to ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, this is still a great spot to stop by when in Disneyland. As soon as Rivers of America re-opens in summer of 2017, you can experience these attractions:
- Fantasmic!
- Frontierland Shootin’ Exposition
- Mark Twain Riverboat
- Pirate’s Lair on Tom Sawyer Island
- Sailing Ship Columbia
Main Street, U.S.A.:
You step onto Main Street, U.S.A. right when you enter the park. This iconic spot in Disneyland is home to some of the best shops and food at the resort! Not only will you get to see the Disneyland Marching Band, The Dapper Dans and parades at night, but you will get to take your babies and toddlers on these other attractions too:
- Disneyland Railroad
- Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln
- Main Street Cinema
- Main Street Vehicles (think horse-drawn carriage, red fire engine, or an old-fashioned car!)
Mickey’s Toontown:
Mickey’s Toontown is a classic spot in Disneyland. It’s wonky architecture and silly features makes it a fun spot to bring your kids. Although the only ride that all your kiddos can ride is Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin, you will be able to stop by the following character’s houses, snap a picture and get their autograph (usually with a shorter line to see them!):
- Donald
- Goofy
- Mickey
- Minnie
- Chip n’ Dale
New Orleans Square:
Not only can you find delicious food in New Orleans Square, like Mickey Beignets and Mint Julep, but there are great family-friendly rides such as:
- Haunted Mansion
- Pirates of the Caribbean
Tomorrowland:
Tomorrowland is a great place for families to visit in Disneyland. You can ride in on the Monorail (which is great for all ages) and see some of the best rides for small children. Some of my favorites to bring my little ones on are:
- Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters
- Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage
- Astro Orbitor
- Star Wars Launch Bay
As you can see, there is a TON to do with babies and toddlers at Disneyland, and that’s just the Disneyland park! Stay tuned for a California Adventure post as well. The Disneyland Resort does a great job making sure that everyone in your family, no matter the age, will have a magical time during their vacation and it is apparent in the rides and attractions available.
