The Mommy Book

Yay!  I finally got started on my Mommy Book.  This is for storing all the awesome ideas I find on Pinterest and blogs.  So far I have the following categories:

Babies and Toddlers

Outdoor Activities

At home with the kids? Instantly access any of these printable activity bundles to keep them learning!

Rainy Day Activities

Fun Snacks & Kid friendly recipes

Discipline and Parenting tips

Baby Food recipes

Science experiments

Travel

Charts and Printables

**UPDATE:  I now use the mommy book to store all the fun IDEAS for motherhood, and I use my filing cabinet for fun RESOURCES for motherhood.  So, things that I want to REFERENCE (activity ideas, recipes, tips, traditions, etc) go in the book, and things I want to USE (printables, chore charts, games, etc) go in the filing cabinet.  This has been the easiest way for me to keep track of all the fun ideas I find on Pinterest that I don’t want to forget about.  I’ve found that “pinning” things to boards is not as productive for me because I never do anything with it.  Now, if it’s something I know I will use…I try to print it or save it to my computer right as I find it.

Any other categories that would be fun to add?  What are your favorite “mommy blogs” for getting your inspiration?  My goal is to have this book done before child #2 so that hopefully I have more time on my hands to just play with my kids and enjoy the journey of motherhood.  What are your favorite memories with your children?

I'm six-foot tall mother of three and I'm enjoying the view! I'm currently fighting a battle with Lyme disease and am determined to come out victorious. I enjoy warm summer rain, peanut butter everything, having dance parties with my husband and kids, natural remedies and healthy living. Most days I'm just looking for another excuse to avoid the piles of laundry.

Just found your blog via Pinterest and love your ideas! I’d love a little more info on how you compile/keep your Mommy Book. Do you print the actual items you want to try or just keep lists? Can we see some photos of the inside?? How do you decide what goes in this and what goes in the file cabinet?

I recently started creating a home management binder and am thinking maybe I will combine these two ideas…

    Thanks!
    Katie
