SCRABBLE BUSY BAG
My son is three and knows all his letters and sounds but when playing this game he read his VERY FIRST WORD so I am very happy about this particular busy bag! He picks out his “magic card” he calls it. Then finds the letters that are on the card, puts them in order and sounds out the word. It was so fun to see his little mind working so hard. And he did it! Making this busy bag is super easy: I found some oversized scrabble tiles on a clearance shelf at a craft store. They are really fun but regular tiles work perfectly for the game and take up less room in the bag. You can print off the printables that I made to go with this busy bag below (I recommend laminating it). DON’T FORGET TO CHECK OUT OUR OTHER BUSY BAG IDEAS! We have a LOT of them….

I stumbled across these big little tiles at Joann’s Fabrics in the clearance section. I have searched and searched for them and cant find them anywhere. You could find blank 2 inch tiles and find some vinyl letter sticker and make some pretty easily. The brand on the bucket it came in was American Crafts. I’m sorry I can’t be more help.

I ordered some scrabble tiles on ebay for super cheap! They are coming from China so it will take awhile but it is worth saving the money to me! Thank you!

I love your ideas. Thank you. Why do the scrabble letters have numbers. I am trying to find plain wooden letters without numbers as I work with Autistic children and the number confuses them.

The number on the tiles is for scoring when you use the tiles to play Scrabble. Rare letters have a higher number score. =)

I would love to know if there is a scrabble letter font that you used. I want to make sight word cards for my son who is older.
